IPHCA is committed to providing ongoing support for the i-net network. This support is provided in the form of best practices and standardization activities, user groups and meetings, as well as through the technical support staff provide to i-net network sites.
Best Practices & Standardization. It is the belief of IPHCA that standardization and the development of a “best practices” model will greatly benefit i-net network participants. Standards that are currently in place include the Financial Class Code table and the Insurance Carrier Master table for all health centers. Future standardization of the Provider Master file table and the Location Master file is being discussed. In addition to error reduction, key benefits of standardization of the system include future data warehousing capabilities and streamlining of the network.
User Groups & Meetings. IPHCA facilitates a i-net User Group for i-net network participants. The group meets quarterly to conduct roundtable discussions on the MegaWest product, and to share ideas and solutions. These meetings are used to share information, discuss implementation activities and issues, and to facilitate communication between the i-net network participants. The User Group periodically hosts training sessions for i-net members, covering topics of interest to the i-net member health center staff.
IPHCA Staff Support. IPHCA currently has two full-time staff devoted to the i-net network. The two Training & Data Support Analysts assist i-net network sites in data conversion, installation, and training activities, as well as provide ongoing technical support for all i-net network members. Both Analysts are certified by HealthPort to provide training and help desk support. IPHCA also provides first-level help desk support services. I-net members can contact the i-net support staff via a toll free phone number or by email. Through the Help Desk, i-net support staff provides individualized and special attention to the i-net network members; only those software issues that cannot be resolved by i-net support staff are escalated to HealthPort for resolution.
Secure Web Site Section. Current i-net members can access the secure support section of this web site by clicking on "Support" from the navigation menu on the left.
